Dr. Jen O’Ryan is a consulting editor specializing in Inclusion, Diversity, and Representation. Jen has a PhD in Human Behavior and her background in tech includes designing new experiences for customers, leading organizational change, and launching global initiatives.
After an extensive career of instigating change at Fortune 100 companies and a few small-but-mighty startups, Jen created Double Tall Consulting. This new company would fill a gap faced by many organizations – how to get their Inclusion and Diversity initiatives from “good intentions” to effective, measurable, meaningful results.
Now Jen works with publishers, authors, and product owners who want their content to be welcoming across a broader audience. She also consults with organizations to design content, culture, and processes that are more inclusive.
Jen is also the author of “Inclusive AF: A Field Guide for ‘Accidental’ Diversity Experts”. Designed for anyone thinking about Inclusion and Diversity, IAF outlines a roadmap to safely launch meaningful and lasting change.
Works frequently with...
- Book publishers and writers who want their content to be welcoming across a broader audience
- Content developers and product owners who are overwhelmed, or want to do the "right" thing but are not sure where to start
- Business leaders looking for coaching, facilitated small group discussions, or strategy sessions

About the book: The reviews are in!
"Inclusive AF" is an actionable, practical, and—above all—relatable roadmap for the beginner advocate searching for ways to authentically plug into the DEI conversation. Using engaging anecdotes and her own personal triumphs and tribulations, Jen O’Ryan proves that creating widespread culture shifts is a long but ultimately rewarding journey, and that we all know something about diversity at our very core.

"Reading this guide feels like finding that endearingly quirky expert who explains the complicated science in hero movies. Imagine having that character explain inclusion and diversity. I am more comfortable leading Inclusion and Diversity efforts with this book in hand. "
~ Mia Rella, Finance professional, Bank of America Merrill
"Inclusive AF unpacks in a clear, direct way the neuroscience and sociological dimensions of encountering difference in the workplace. The reader will gain a deeper understanding of what has shaped the lives of the LGBTQ+ people they meet both in regular life and, in particular, at work. This is an essential handbook for how to create a welcoming and sustainable work environment in which LGBTQ+ employees can thrive. "
~ Pierre Bradette, LGBTQ+ Community Activist and Management Consultant
"I love Inclusive AF! This book is REAL, outshining other, sometimes dull books written in a monochrome business style. It's like sitting down with Dr. O'Ryan for a coffee. As an Inclusion & Diversity professional, I would have loved this book at the start of my journey, and highly recommend it to everyone on the path."
